Deep midnight velvet with a liquid drape, left open to reveal a sleek black base layer beneath. A cascade of hand-appliquéd florals in dusty slate-blue traces the lapel line from collar to hem, the only ornament this piece needs. Floor-sweeping and unlined at the front, it moves with the kind of quiet drama velvet does best.
